Marriage services

You can get married in St John's Community Church and have your afternoon reception in the same building if you choose. Wedding services start from £337.50 as of January 2008. Including obligatory costs of - the wedding certificate, and publishing banns, also the paying of the verger and musician. Additional costs may include fees for additional musicians, printed service sheets,  and PA technician.

We have a modern PA and visual projection systems, and if suitable, can play your favourite CD or project parts of the service onto a large screen.

We can also print individual designed service sheets for your special occasion.

Marriage Preparation Course:-
 

We offer a marriage preparation and enrichments course for those thinking of marriage. These normally take place in the home of one of our members.

Marriage Preparation Course 2008 dates are May 7th , 14th and 21st on a Wednesday or if not convenient either Tuesday or Thursday of the same weeks.

 

Banns of Marriage

Banns are normally read out the first three Sundays of the month prior to the wedding at our modern, lively 10.30 am service at St John's Community Church in the High Street. Please call in at the Parish Office in Ironstone Road to fill in a Banns Application form on Wednesday evening 5.30 pm to 8.00 pm or during morning opening hours.

 

Fees

Calling Banns and a Banns of Marriage Certificate Cost £34 in 2008. Calling Banns, a Marriage Certificates and a Marriage Services are from £337.50 as of  1st January 2008.
