Our Values We are
Church because we belong to Jesus.
In our life together we share these values:
Worship
1
Peter 2 v 9 “You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a
people belonging to God that you may declare the praises of Him who called
you out of darkness into His wonderful light.”
Worship is a
priority, because worship led by the Holy Spirit, unites us and empowers us,
so that we may live to honour and glorify God.
Bible
2
Timothy 3 v 16 “All scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching,
rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.”
We honour the
Bible as a gift given to us by our loving heavenly Father. It contains His
word to us. We are committed to be obedient to all that we can understand
of the truth that God reveals to us in the Bible.
Prayer
1 Timothy 2 v 1 “I urge
then first of all that requests, prayers, intercessions and thanksgiving be
made for everyone.”
Daily prayer is
an expression of our love for God, and a means whereby we can experience His
love for us. We are committed to pray for others, and for ourselves, that
signs of God’s coming kingdom may be seen in our lives, and in the lives of
those around us. Please click here

Serving
1 Peter 4 v 10 “Each
one should use whatever gift s/he has received to serve others.”
Service to
others is the privilege and responsibility of every church member. Jesus has
given us an example to follow. We are called to serve one another and to
serve our community in the name of Jesus.
Relationships
John
13 v 34,35 “A new command I give you: love one another. As I
have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all people will
know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
We must love,
encourage and care for one another, in obedience to the command of Jesus.
We recognise that every member needs to experience the love and friendship
of others within our church.
Evangelism
Matthew 28 v19,20
Jesus said, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them
in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and
teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am
with you always, to the very end of the age.”
We must help people
who do not know Jesus to become His faithful followers. We recognise
that every church member is called by God to use their different gifts, in
different ways, so that working together we may discharge this
responsibility that God has given to us.
