Dunk Dude and the Blue Polaris!

The adventure began when Dunk Dude went to the Isle of Wight to visit a friend who was holidaying over there in 1997.  His friend, a most excitable chap at the best of times was raving on about how they really must hire a jet-ski as it looked tremendous fun.  Dunk Dude was really not up for it at all but after sitting on the beach at Sandown, watching the things buzz about at sea for an hour, relented and found himself on a "personal watercraft".

Woooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!  That was fast, scary, fun and...addictive!  Dunk Dude went back to the mainland and told every one he met all about this thing he and his friend had hired.  Eventually he made it home and exclaimed to his wife, "Hi! I'm home...and we're getting a jet-ski!"

Well that was that really, after looking into it further he decided that he couldn't afford one...yet.

A year later and it was game on.  After countless days deliberating over which personal watercraft to go for from all the brochures, it was decided.  Dunk Dude and the yellow Polaris had finally met!  However his wife had the final say in the matter and plumbed for a different one as it was a nice colour and she could learn to water-ski behind it (it was a larger, more stable and had a towing eye).

Job done, deposit placed now all they had to do was wait...and buy wetsuits, boots, gloves, goggles and buoyancy aids.  The craft would come with a trailer, flares, tool kit, tow rope and a free service after the first 12 hours use.

They were so excited about the whole thing that they overlooked one thing...a tow bar!  

Then they went back to the showroom, got the insurance sorted out, had a brief on how to look after the craft; pre launch checks, running-in time, washing down, flushing out and after use tasks.

They left with the Blue Polaris in close pursuit, made for the slipway and have never looked back!
