We get told that we have 'issues' and should seek help, but we shrug off these comments because we just want to make a bit more noise and go a bit faster than everyone else.
In the beginning there were gopeds, humble machines with feeble petrol motors that would drag their bodies to a mind numbing 20Mph. Due to a large 'spike' in the evolutionary process the Jet-Ped was born. All logic and common sense was removed and a large dose of insanity was added!
Lee bought his first miniature jet engine whilst on holiday in Florida in March 2000. It was originally bought for a radio controlled model plane, however, in a moment of what can only be described as 'a moment' he decided to fit the turbine to a standard goped scooter to see what would happen, this was the only modification, wheels and brakes remained standard. The results were fun and very impressive and the 'ped made its public debut at Santa Pod drag racing strip during the VW Bugjam show in 2000 in front of a 10,000 strong crowd where 32.7mph was recorded over the 1/8 mile. Predictably, the crowd went bananas.
This
was good for starters, but it wasn't long before we needed more, so a bigger
jet with an afterburner was fitted. This saw us to 70+ Mph!!

We have also built a twin jet powered go kart with 'burners which has seen us to some silly speeds and is now ready to appear at some shows this year.
