Data Protection Act - 1998
The Mytchett, Frimley Green and Deepcut Society maintains comprehensive Membership Privacy, Security and Data Protection policies, which cover all information disclosed to The Society through any facility. The Society will only use the information that is collected about our Members lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Typically, The Society collects information on our Members in two ways, via completed Membership Application Forms and from General Meeting Attendance Registers Any information gathered, if it is analysed, will only be done so in the aggregate. This means that we will look at statistics as a sum total and not at an individual level. We may provide such aggregate statistics to trustworthy third parties, or use the same to sustain argument or negotiation, but these statistics will include no personally identifying information. That personal information will only be divulged, even to members of the Executive, if they are directly responsible for the said relationship with The Society for the collection of subscriptions, notification of meetings, events and the like Members who supply The Society with their telephone number(s) may receive telephone contact from us but the name(s) and phone number(s) will not be shared wantonly within The Society, or in any way with any other organisations. |
