Dimmings Dale.

Dimmings Dale is a site of ancient woodland, spread along the slopes of the Churnet Valley. The well surfaced paths pass along either side of a stream, punctuated by pools along its length, such as the one in the photograph above. Other tracks can be explored up the slopes of the woods to the left of the stream, or to the right for views of the valley with Alton Towers in the far distance. See the links in the box below for the tracks and/or maps. Dogs are allowed if kept on a lead.

There are two car parks situated either side of The Ramblers Retreat restaurant, where meals or snacks and ice cream can be bought.
