Needlepoint

Here you can see some of my needle pointed items, they have been stitched on a range of counts from 18 hole per inch to 48 holes per inch. I am always striving to make each piece better than the last, I intend to stitch something on 72 count eventually, But for now !! enjoy !! The newest things I have done are at the top

these were the gifts I made for the swap at BMW 2008, I also include some Clarice Cliff plates in the parcel too

this lighthouse picture, the little rugs, the samplers and cushions were stitched from various sources, charts from books, or magazines or freebies from the internet, can you spot the panda, A favourite of mine, he takes about a hour to stitch  !!

these are all items for a birthday swap I am in with 13 others, I send 13 people something when its their birthday and when its mine I get 13 lovely gifts

these are called Imari, they are stitched  from a pattern in an old nutshell news. They are designed from the china of the same name, I haven't made them up yet but they will go in my Brain Long caravan click here to see that

I thought I would give a full size project a go, this cushion is designed from various charts from a cross stitch book I got from the library. I used the animal designs and stitched them in tent stitch (I didn't do cross stitches, cos don't like cross stitch) this was my sisters Christmas present 2007

here it is closer, before I stitched it together into a cushion (my sis loved it by the way)

I recently stitched a cushion pad in bargello stitch for the bench in my kitchen, here it is with some cushions in blackwork (woo something stitched for myself)

A 1.24th wallhanging based around the unicorn cushion below

This is my big project on the go at the moment - It will measure 11inches by 8 and will finish up in the Glencroft

Finally in the living room of Cobweb Cottage

I designed this pattern from a printie of a welcome mat, this was my first attempt at taking a design and transferring it into stitches, the cushion was designed  to showcase the Mackintosh rose present in the corners of the mat (the design was included in 'The Dollshouse Magazine')

I stitched these Nicola Mascall design on 48 count for my friend Caz, there were 6 of these ones

and these ones too (and 2 of these)

I stitched this 1.24th scale carpet on 32 count for Daphne and the cushion was stitched on 48, design from Victorian needlework book

Various designs (Felicity Price, Victorian needlework, Rugs in miniature) for my friend Rebecca in return for her Italian food  click to see the Italian food

I made these little cuties for a swap and my friend Ellen has one too                         Back to top

This I designed as a spring cushion, it now lives with Maggs

I am stitching this on 48 count following a full size cross stitch chart designed for 14ct

I designed this for my daughters dog house

This is another of my designs

From Felicity Price's book - swaps to share out at BMW 2006

Another rug from Rug in miniature

This Oak leaf Cushion was my very first attempt at 48 count, straight after finishing the green rug on 18 count. I was so pleased with it until I took it out at looked at it in daylight !! I have since got a lamp with a daylight bulb in it.

This was a Felicity Price kit, bought at Miniatura - she also signed her book for me - This was a disaster, but I learnt lots of valuable lesson - No1 don't cut the gauze before you sew, I cut the gauze too close and it started to unravel, the back of this rug is covered with iron on backing and one edge are thinner than they should be

This one was a chart given to me by my good friend Angie and stitched on 18 coount
