Cobweb Cottage

This cottage is based on the tiny cottages you see here in the English country side. very small windows and pokey corners. I built this myself from MDF, basically cutting the wood as I went. I certainly achieved my goal of small rooms and pokey corners everywhere. If you want to see the building of Cobweb Cottage click below

Cobweb Cottage in progress

this is the attic, I have lots of nice junk in here most of it made by the members of The Stay at Home Club for an attic project, so it all went well in here

this is my bathroom, with pretend boxed in pipes and it even has an old fashioned immersion heater, you can see that in the building of Cobweb Cottage

I love this old fashioned metal bedstead, it started life as a white wire piece. Note the folded up newspaper under the leg of the wobbly drawers, all adds to the realism !

My kitchen, with Aga and a cupboard under the stairs, I have not decided if this is going to be a pantry or a place to keep brooms etc. I am still looking for the perfect table to go in here

My living room has an inglenook fireplace, although I may tome the bricks down somewhat as they look too bright now they are in place. There is a desk by the stairs with a laptop computer

This is  the front of the house, I have made flower boxes for each window, there is a blue tit in the garden, I have decided it will be perpetual summer in my cottage. The thatched roof is made from fur fabric, which I have yet to stiffen

Here is the pony waiting patiently in the garden for his little mistress, she has just popped in from her pony hack to see Grandma and partake of a piece of her Victoria sponge

A close up of a corner of the kitchen, still needs lots and lots doing. its amazing what a photo does to show you the bare bits

Caramel the pony asking for an apple

desk with the laptop (note it is upside down) did not realise until I looked at the photo

Bedroom corner, with vase of freshly picked flowers from the summer garden

teddies on the bed and of course summer straw hat

Nivea cream and colgate toothpaste

'An apple for me please'

Dressing table items, most of them are from a swap, doesn't it look cosy ?
