This is the building of the Glencroft Kit

Here you can see the four rooms together, I completed the kitchen first, walls, floor and everything, so I didn't have to try and squeeze into the corners to get things done. I added a lean too, which has become the pantry and there is an extra chimney added on at the front to accommodate the Aga in the corner of the kitchen, it is an old bread oven chimney.

This is the view of the 'bread oven' chimney which had been 'knocked out' inside to accommodate the aga. the 'plaster work' is crumbling too.

I wanted to try and make some nice brick patterns, so I used brick paper cut into individual bricks and arranged them into differing pattern, within the beams

This is the bedroom, using scrap booking paper for the walls.

I used some ready coloured acetate for the stained glass

these are the roof pieces being painted, my 11 year daughter helped me to paint them, I showed her how to paint smoothly in one direction, she did great until she got up and trod on one piece, no harm done, but it was funny

The front room with the floorboards in. This carpet is the one I want to use, but I think it looks too new, but will have to think of a way to age it.

This shows a better view of the fire surround, should I keep this the colour it is or paint it black? and pick out the details in gold ?

Here is the front with the beams stained, it is just awaiting the front door now and the thatch on the roof.
