BMW 2006

This was my first time at the British Miniaturist Weekend - I did some great workshops and made some new friends as well as meeting up with old ones.

I did a workshop with Anja, I made roses and was very impressed with how they turned out. I put them in a vase when I got home ready to go in my cottage.

these are my roses in the glass vase and the ones in the green vase are my 11 year old daughters, I had some petals left over and had brought some leaves back with me. I told her how to do them as Anja had done and she did great, probably better than mine?? she made one and wanted to make two more.

I bought this little 1.24th Jane Harrop sleigh bed kit at BMW and did it at home. I wanted a shabby chic, cottage style, so I stained the wood with shoe polish, sanded the edges and added some rose decals I bought from TeePee

I am going to use this lace for a bedspread for it, think it goes lovely with it.

These are all my flower kits together with Sara, the ones I did with Anja, and two more kits I bought lilies and fuchsias, I love these flowers - now I have to get my cottage finished to put them in the garden - you can click on the picture for a better view.

here is a 1.24th washstand kit I bought to take home from Mcqueenies, I think this is so cute. their kits go together perfectly and this was no exception. I will just be polishing this as the wood is such a nice colour

The Beach Hut - this is the 1.12 scale one, Ann and Kathryn did the 1.24th scale one with me - I have lots of things ready to go in here.

Carver Chair - this is the carver chair I did with McQueenies, my plan is to stitch a chair cover in 72ct silk gauze. the picture shows what it should look like (when it gets done)

I recieved these as swaps at BMW, the Christmas tree from Joan, the Books (along with a bead bag kit) from Linda and the basket from Christine - thank you to you ladies !

These are what I made for the BMW swaps, we gave one out each day
