DISABLED SWIM ON SQUARE POND

at long last, the club has started the construction of a peg designed and aimed for disabled anglers. the siting of the peg, just to the outlet side of the cabin, was chosen for its closeness to a parking spot and for the ease of access to the actual peg. the  club has taken into account legal requirements for the actual design, and feel that we have conformed to these in the design and construction. the construction will take a couple of weeks work, and should be done by Christmas. watch this space for developments.

After checking all the available pegs, we chose the bivvy swim nearest the cabin where the slope was not too severe. The path was laid out roughly with hardcore before being laid properly

Laying out the start of the path on a cold a foggy morning

The last few pieces of shuttering are nailed down

Almost completed, the concrete was mixed and poured by a few committee members, all thats left is a rail to stop Buster going into the pond

The swim is ready for concreting
