I joined Valley Artists in September
2004 and completed my visual arts
degree from Bolton University in
July the following year. My studies
gave me a grounding in ceramics,
printmaking and painting as well as
an opportunity to pursue
investigations into process, which
has become a major concern. My
work is based on an observation of
myself together with considerations
of time, space and memory. Books
and the cinema, some of my earliest
influences, are a rich source of
imagery and also provide the
incentive to re-read some of my
favourite childhood books,
especially myths and fables
about animals.
