Welcome to my website
The purpose of this site is to display some of the digital photographs I have taken over the last few years both in and around our home town and other parts of the country. The two original cameras used were both digital, a Minolta Z1 and a Nikon D70. Late 2006, I upgraded to a Nikon D200 which shoots at 10 megapixels. There will be shots from all the cameras appearing on this site. I have now discovered how to use the bracketing on the D200 to produce HDR (High Dynamic Range) shots. These are produced by blending five shots taken at various exposures. The results are quite pleasing.
Why the name?
My name is Don Stephenson and I live with my wife in Seaton Carew on the outskirts of Hartlepool on the North East coast. We have a dog called Dylan. As you can see, Dylan is a Border Collie and needs lots of exercise. Together, we spend many a happy hour, regardless of the weather, wandering on the beach and sand dunes or through the fields near to our home. There is always something new to see or photograph.Sad news.
We lost Dylan in November 2007 and, although both my wife and I said “never again”, we now have a new Border Collie called Taz. I am back to long walks again and feel better for it.
