'The Cleveland Way
on CD ROM' is in the same format as my website except that it
runs directly from your CD drive
so there is no need to be connected to the internet, and the
pages load in seconds rather than minutes.
I have added more and better quality photographs with extra text
and historical references, etc.
The walk has been
divided into 10 graded sections, each approximately 10 - 12 miles
in length. If you have already
walked the Cleveland Way (or parts of it) it will, hopefully,
bring back memories. If not, you might be inspired to go out
and do it yourself. Or you may just wish to sit in the comfort of
your own home and look at the photographs
of the wonderful countryside seen during the 105 mile hike from
Helmsley to Filey in North Yorkshire.
This CD ROM has
been designed to be best viewed at a screen resolution setting of
800 x 600 in True Colour (32 bit)
although it will still work OK at other resolutions and colour
settings.
The CD ROM also
works fine on the Macintosh system apart from the 'autorun'
feature
- Macintosh users just need to 'double-click' on the index file
on their CD drive.
