Saltburn - then & now


Old Saltburn 1898

Old Saltburn c. 1898: the old village of Saltburn is reputed to have been a centre for the smuggling trade.
In the foreground are the cottages of Old Saltburn while in the distance the new seaside holiday resort of Saltburn

Zetland Hotel railway line

The main railway line into Saltburn ran all the way to the rear entrance of the Zetland Hotel (now private residences)
which even had its own platform!
