RSGB member RS177889 G-QRP club member since 2003(?) My first call was M3KTA. I sat the RAE rapidly afterwards and obtained M1KTA in the April of 2003.

Ham radio started for me with a
Christmas present of a crystal radio kit given to me by my parents way back
in 1976 and I borrowed a Russian made general coverage receiver from my dad
shortly afterwards and this had me hooked. That first Christmas I was
listening to DX commercial stations all about the globe and thinking about
shortwave and QSL collecting for the first time. My school
years were spent as a boarder at Prior Park Prep in Cricklade and then |
