Following sloths decision to leave the clan I have decided to close the doors of PSU once & for all. For 4 & a half years PSU has been well known, well respected & more importantly well liked, but the time comes when even decent clans have to say enough is enough. There has been far too few games played competitively - or together - recently to even be classed as a clan anyway.We could have gone down the same road as some other dwindling long-term clans have recently by recruiting all & sundry, no matter how unskilled, unknown (or illiterate) but as the saying goes ''When ya gotta go - ya gotta go''

New year & a new look ! Well actually same old look as everytime I have to add to the site I mess it up just a little more. First off in space year 2005 Rob has gone to continue his walk down the worming path with the GiT clan. Again we are a casualty of our own inactiveness on the clan competition front as another friendly, skilled & nice wormer walks off into the sunset. Rumours are abound that Bamf will soon follow, and if he doesn't send me a Cube game I want from the USA in a timely manner next week I think it may turn out to be more than just a rumour ;) On the positive side the 4 remaining active PSU members were all promoted to Division 1 in CL2K singles last season, sloth made an impressive 2nd place with a fine effort to appear active & I followed him closely up the rear in a respectable 3rd. Ooer madam. Then followed Bamf in 4th & triX in a respectable 5th. Not bad for an inactive clan eh ?

I suppose as our 4th Anniversary approaches in 4 days on the 13th I'll say a little something now. Been good, still good, hope it's all good in the future. We don't forget our distant or departed members, instead we miss & respect them. Happy 4th Birthday PSU.

Well this is really just a quick update on the current state of PSU & it's members. As you may or may not know I have allocated one of three different status ratings to everyone listed on the members page. These are as follows :- Active (currently playing W:A) :: Around (not playing W:A but still chat on ICQ or post on the board) :: Retired (you really need that explained ?)

The midsummer blues fall on PSU. With very little activity on the board or on the competitive side of things it comes as no surprise to have to say farewell to another 2 members. Alex (TLD) has a lot coming up & has popped by to say ''cya around, been fun'' while Danny (Mysis) also has a whole load of real world stuff going on & doubts he'll be worming much, and if he plays at all, it won't be competitively. Please join me in wishing the both of them every success & happiness in the future whatever they do & where ever they go. PSU 4 life fellas ! Dodgymat

As most of you know, the hullabaloo surrounding the almost demise of PSU was overwhelming, and several old mates have been back on including Stipey & Deathraven (now Miysis) and a host of other "not dead yet" clan mates, also Gordy continues to hang out on our boards. The brief hiatus has re-invigorated the clans competitive vibe, as evidenced by Bamf's 40 games in 25 days of Div2 play. With change often comes friction, and Ultraviolent has elected to leave PSU. Rather than lone wolf it, he said he will start a new clan, and to no-one's surprise his long time mate GaFmAn also decided to leave and join him. I for one will miss the junior rockstar, but I'm sure we'll cross paths in # AG someday. Porndog Olsen

After what can only be described as 'public outrage' since posting about closing PSU down a week ago, the overwhelming feeling myself, and others had, was that it was worth carrying on the good name of PSU. So much so we have recruited 2 new members already ! So say hello to RobDaZombie & Porndog who are now officially PSU bods. Skel has unfortunately been invited back to SFX so good luck with that mate & cheers, was nice to have you on board. Well the time has come for PSU to finally say farewell to it's friends & foes. After 3 years of being alive the time has come to say adios & move on. Hi, yo, sup & heeeeeey there buddy to our newest recruit at PSU - Mr ßamf ! As we forge links with our brothers across the pond even further, we now have a full-time American on the firm again. ßamf plays with most of us most of the time so it's kinda like he was a member already, if you know what I mean. Bad news always follows good they say & there's lots of moving & shaking going on here at PSU this month. First off the unfortunate news came through last week that GaF & UV have hung up their W:A boots & are unlikely to re appear in an online game of worms at least until Worms3 comes out. I'm sure we all wish you both well & hope you stay in touch. Other news this week is Marley has re-emerged at sloths house ! Selling off his worldy goods (and cat) to go working in Germany. Good luck Marl, and hope you too can stay in touch. Lastly, but by no means least, we wave bye-bye for a year to Danny as he heads off into the sunset bound for OZ. Well lots of activity on the members front at the moment, with one old friend & one old member of PSU asking to join us. Firstly Skel messaged me a while back asking if he could join, unfortunately I was on a 'quake break' from W:A at the time & thought his message was an ill-timed April Fool ! On my return when he asked if he was in or not I realised he was serious, it went to the polls & the rest is history as they say, so Welcome Skel as PSU's 15th Member !

The second candidate was an ex-member, MrPezDealer, who has been away from W:A for about a year due to school & normal life stuff. His request went to the poll too, as do all requests at PSU, but unfortunately the members voted to not allow him to re-join so he was refused re-entry. Still it's only the 2nd time this has happened in PSU's 2 year history (!) and I personally would like to wish MrPez all the best & hope he finds a clan he's happy with. More news as it happens ! Well doesn't time fly when you're having fun ! Two years ago today Herb setup a board on Gamers.com & PSU was born. An idea once joked about by me & Bishie during a game of WA became a reality & we set about recruiting all of our worming buddies to the PSU Possee. PSU received a join request on the board from Y2JID this week, unfortunately he was unsuccessful as one or two members pointed out he might not be old enough to appreciate the humour of this clan and would be better suited to another clan. Another bad news/good news type post. The bad news is, as we are all aware, Dodgymat has lost his connection and been forced to retire from worms. I dont believe for one minute that he's gone for good, as everybody knows once you've been bitten by the worm bug, its there for life. As founder member, he did more than anybody to get this clan up and running, so if you read this Mat, hurry back, its never gonna be quite the same without you m8. See you at slothcon.

The good news is that Lux has joined the fold. He needs no introduction as we've all been in a shopper with him and watched the nutter fly around at breakneck speed, pissed out of his face, before leaping on you with his drill. First the good news. Danny's request to join has been accepted and we welcome him with open arms. At 16, he is by far the runt of the litter so if you want ciggies fetching ? ask Danny. We've had quite a lot of interest in PSU lately including join requests and various people commenting on the BOOTCAMP FAQ, be it good or bad! We decided to keep things as we said in the beginning, a close knit community & not to let just anyone join 'cos of their skill or familiarity with PSU peeps, but to take on people that we all know & all know are skilled (and smoke lots of POT obviously) This way there can only be less aggro in the long run, which is better all round.
