This is the hardest part of the site to structure for me, as I don't have many favorites of anything, as I like so many things.
I will try, however, to think up some really good links to great sites, like where to get a good Singapore Sling! Just like this one I had in Raffles Long Bar, Singapore. That is where it was first created and I must say is the best I've ever tasted.
I'll see if I can get the recipe - even if it means returning to Singers!

Here's one recipe, that is supposed to be one used today:
3 ounces pineapple juice.
1-1/2 ounces gin.
1/4 ounce lime juice.
1/2 ounce Cherry Heering.
1/4 ounce Bénédictine.
1/4 ounce Cointreau.
1 dash Angostura bitters.
Shake with ice, strain.
Top with a little soda water. Garnish with a flag (orange wedge and cherry on a pick).
The history of the drink is interesting and by no means precise, however, the recipe used in Raffles Long Bar, whatever it is remains magical.
Having consumed a couple of Slings each one sunny afternoon, Dave and I decided to have another one the next day at our hotel - they were nowhere near as good, being a lot more fruit juice based. A similar result was found at the airport.
If you know a good recipe please send it to me.
