The concerto is written for piano and string orchestra.  It is one movement piece that combines the sonata form with the form of variations. Both the principal and the subordinate themes are built as a series of growing intervals: from the minor second to the major seventh, and contain all the intervals, however with the repetition of some of the pitches.  The Concerto is dedicated to Vasili Lobanov, who performed it on two occasions and also composed the cadenza that was printed together with the score (by “Sovetsky Kompozitor” Publishers, Moscow, 1985) but still never been played.

Концерт написан для фортепьяно и струнного оркестра. Это одночастное сочинение, в котором соединены  принципы сонатной формы и вариаций. Главная и побочная темы строятся как цепочки интервалов расширяющихся от малой секунды до большой септимы, однако при этом некоторые звуки в серии повторяются.  Концерт посвящён Василию Лобанову, который исполнял его дважды и даже сочинил к нему свою каденцию опубликованную вместе с партитурой (издательством «Советский композитор», Москва 1985), однако до сих пор так и не была сыгранную.
