"Creates the environment in which people can learn"

HOW ?

All people and all clients are different and have different needs, so this question cannot be answered simply by choosing from a list of “solutions”. Nigel Percy Ltd offers a basic set of Learning Areas around which bespoke interventions can be created to suit the perceived needs of the learners.

Nigel is a natural facilitator with the rare gift of being able to connect with people. Nigel uses this gift to enable people to find their best way of learning. Nigel also uses wit and creativity to create metaphor and analogy which allows people to “get it” in the way that’s most accessible (and therefore memorable) for them.

The environment can be Facilitated groups, 1:1 Coaching, Teambuilding sessions, Leadership workshops, Inspirational presentations and seminars or Classroom-based skills training.

WHAT DO I GET?

A damn good listening to.

It is vital that both parties understand both the perceived need for the learning intervention as well as how we will know when it is complete. Therefore Nigel encourages as many people as are required to be part of the design process and encourages feedback as to what went well and what can be improved.

Nigel also offers Learning and Development Consultancy if all you need is to sort out what you want. You may well then decide that you want to find another way of developing that learning….

SAYS WHO?

Says a number of his ex-collegues, fellow presenters, delegates and friends. The most often used phrase by his ex-bosses in previous roles was “you’re in the wrong job”. Based on this feedback, his thirst for learning and great feedback to his presentation style he became a Learning & Development Professional in 1997.

Nigel’s approach is based on 3 things;

  • His working experience in areas such as Retail, IT, Audit, Finance and Learning & Development and through observing the way people learn.
  • Some of the more state of the art learning methods that he and Interbrew introduced in his time as Learning and Development Manager in the last 7 years
  • Academic reading and research whilst studying for his Masters Degree in Training, Development and Performance Management at the University of Leicester from 2001-2004.
