24th May 2003 Bloody hell, sometimes fings don't go as you want. CD release is delayed until the end of June. It's worth it though !
28th March 2003 Hooray, hooray - "From Another Plaice" has now been mixed !!! A few tasters will appear on the site in the near future. Just the mastering and the cover now to sort out. Release within a month.
8th December 2002 General overhaul of site in preparation of a move to a new home. Recording virtually complete ! Look out for the release in the New Year. Working title is "From Another Place".
11th May 2002 A new song "Music by Numbers" added to the lyrics page. Recording progressing well, watch this space
29th March 2002 A new song "Sounds of Sirens" added to the lyrics page. Still recording more news soon.
11th February 2002 Unfortunately we have had to cancel the Broadbridge Heath gig. Sorry about that.
5th February 2002 Added for 3rd March at Broadbridge Heath Leisure Centre (near Horsham). 1st session in the studio booked for this weekend.
14th January 2002 January 9th went well with some very positive feedback and plenty of warm furries. More new songs are being written and the end of this month should see us starting the next CD.
22nd December January 9th is confirmed. January is also the date we are going back into the studio ! Watch this space.
16th November A gig for January. Wednesday 9th at Big Jim's Acoustic Corner at the Belle Vue, Brighton (just up from the station). Not really a proper gig as such but we'll play for a good 30 minutes or so and you'll have the chance to see some other acts as well. Old TUT mad fiddler Mark Knight will be playing with us whilst Tim is off travelling the world for a few months. Hope to see you all there.
2nd November First gig succesfully completed. Even though I've done it all I have to say that I was pretty nervous before we went on. The first time I've actually led a band. Singing my own songs was a real buzz and once the first song was under way the nerves melted and I thoroughly enjoyed myself, as did the rest of the band. Some very positive feedback afterwards. Here's to the next gig. I'll keep you posted.
25th October Updated sounds page to add streamed files. Added the BURBS banner to the page you're looking at now. Fings have been a bit quiet of recent. Rehearsing for the gig next week and writing some new songs. Some of which will be heard at Crawley.
16th August Updated gig page with Crawley Folk Club address and did various updates to some of the other pages. First gig at Matt & Sam's wedding went very well. Good to get out there and play again. We're all looking forward to November.
16th July Updated gig page with news of a gig at Crawley Folk Club on 1st November 2001 ! Be there or be .... somewhere else.
8th July Not a lot to report really. Still waiting for confirmation of 21st July ! Still rehearsing, still writing. Feedback on the new music is very positive. Added some more photos.
13th June Added a non-distorted version of Third Way to the site Still waiting for confirmation of 21st July for the Guildford Road Street Party
6th June 2001 - "Third Way" the latest mp3 is now here ! As with all these things the mix is not quite as it should be (I cocked up the settings on the mps3 conversion so it's all a little too loud but I'm too tired to redo it just now !) hopefully though it shows we're not going soft. Let us know what you think.
