Die Rich Craps

A comparatively new casino game, invented by a dealer in Reno,  played with only one die usually rolled from a dice cup, on a small table, and for stakes.

Play:

The player throwing the die makes a “pass-line” bet, then rolls the die and, like in Bank Craps, this initial throw is known as the "come-out" roll.  If he rolls a 6,  he immediately wins.  If a 1 is rolled, he immediately loses.  If a 2, 3, 4, or 5 is rolled, then this number becomes their “point number.”   The thrower then has up to three more rolls of the die to roll his point number again.  If he does, he wins and continues rolling the die in a new round.  If he doesn't roll a winning value, then he loses and the next player at the table rolls the die in the next round.

In addition to the "pass-line bet", players may also bet on the value rolled (1 to 6) in any single roll of the die (known as a "proposition bet")l

The payoffs are as follows:

Player rolls 6 on 1st roll: 1 to 1 (evens)
Player rolls point on 2nd roll: 2 to 1
Player rolls point on 3rd roll:  1 to 1
Player rolls point on 4th roll: 2 to 1
Proposition bet' (1 up to 6): 4 to 1
