This picture shows a rating painting high up the mast. There was some internal 'upstairs-downstairs' rivalry. The engine room crew called the able seamen Dab Dabs, as they spent a lot of time with a paint brush dabbing the ship. The inscription on the back of the picture reads  "Another Dab Dab Painting ship" Geordie Groom painting masthead. (JH)
