MY HAWTHORN(E) FAMILY TREE

My trees roots are in Islandmagee, County Antrim Northern Ireland, or Ireland as it was called before Partition in 1922.

There is a JAMES HAWTHORN mentioned in an Islandmagee report in the Belfast Newsletter of 21st April 1772.

NOTES :-
(1) I have deliberately left out the D.O.B. etc. of those that I know who are still living. If I have erred, please accept my sincerest apology and inform me so that I can make a correction.

(2) If anyone can supply me with any info, no matter how trivial, I would be most grateful to receive it, so that a more complete record can be kept of the Family Tree.

(3) Ballymuldrough, Ballykeel, Ballymoney, Balloo, Carnspindle, Gransha, Kilcoanmore, Temple-effin and Mullaghdubh are Townlands in Islandmagee.

(4) On early documents, the name Hawthorn was found mostly without an (e).

(5) I have used colours to show the line of descent. eg. a name in red at the end of the tree can be seen to have a line of descent from Robert Hawthorn in 1822.It can also be seen that the spouse of this Robert Hawthorn is also shown coloured red because she takes on the Hawthorn(e) name.
