The Association meets on the second Wednesday of each month with the Annual General Meeting held in March.
The venue is a pleasant hall, centrally heated with access to Minton's Tea rooms. The meetings are very well supported and there are two cameras relaying pictures to a large screen via a first class projector (supplied by the Lottery Awards for All) together with a remote sound system to make sure that everyone has a good view and can hear the demonstrator's commentary. We also have a Myford Mystro lathe for members to use at hands on meetings. Past demonstrators include Phil Irons, Ray Jones, John Tuck, Jimmy Clewes, Mick Hanbury as well as Pyrography by Bob Neill and of course our own Keith Rowley We also have some very talented members who give demonstrations sharing their experience and expertise with the other members. Each year we hold three competitions for both experienced and novice members. Full details of this year's demonstrations and competitions can be found on the diary page. |
