Future Exhibits

Plans for the 2009 season include a History of Ashford Town Football Club and a look back at the Lympne (Ashford) Airport.

Continuing Exhibits

As well as our new exhibits, we also have a variety of permanent displays which are devoted to Ashford's history.

  • Geological material from the local area

  • Archaeological items including Roman and Anglo-Saxon artefacts

  • Ashford as an important market town from the 13th to the 21st century

  • Churches and Schools

  • Local transport including Ashford Railway Works

  • Fire and Medical Services since Victorian times

  • War-time Ashford includes many displays of Ashford as a 'front-line town' during World War Two

  • Domestic life from Victorian times

  • Local businesses and industry from the past

  • Ashford Borough in the 21st century
