This Page is Dedicated To:

James William Michael Connor (My Father)

Who Died 24th March 1990 of Throat Cancer.

He had a tube inserted into his throat and could not talk,

so would use a pad to write with, and at the back of the pad,

after his passing, we found this poem in his handwriting.

LIFE'S A BLESSING

Life is just a testing time,

While we're here on earth,

The pain the grief the obstacles,

Are all to try our worth.

It's very hard not to succumb,

When things are getting tough,

But you must fight and overcome,

Just copings not enough.

For livings really wonderful,

The good times and the bad,

Who'd appreciate the happy days,

If they'd never known the sad.

Listen to the birds at dawn,

Or watch a rose unfurl,

Gaze upon a baby's face,

Or touch a tiny curl.

So when you're feeling down and out,

Your spirit is depressed,

Just look around at everything,

With which you have been blessed.

The poet though we didn't know it!

James Connor 1990

My Daughter Sarah, then aged 2 years would sit with him,

Sarah would hold his hand, and just chatter to him.

Support & encouragement at such an early age.
