When he was ten he started playing the electric organ, again taking a succession of exams., but not long afterwards he was given the opportunity to play at a local church and had the sole use of the small, two manual
'Cousans' pipe organ. He started having lessons, with different teachers, in all three instruments but after a time it was too much and he only continued with lessons and exams. in electronic and church organs.

In the year 2000 he started playing his Yamaha EL90 Electronic organ at Organ Societies, having previously been playing both the keyboard and electric organ at small 'friendship' clubs held in the Lincoln area.

For the last few years he has entered and won the Church Organ classes at the Lincoln Festival of Music and Drama .  He is organist at one church, deputy organist at another church in Lincoln and he also gives the occasional recital. At school he plays piano for the band. He has also accompanied the school's junior choir at the Lincoln Festival.

Brewster's musical tastes vary.  His repertoire ranges from classical to popular music but he particularly likes playing film & show tunes,  Latin
American and old-time classics.  He identifies himself with his hometown by using 'The Lincolnshire Poacher' as his signature tune. 

In April 2002 Brewster made an appearance at the Caister 'Spring Spectacular' organ 'Showcase' for up and coming artists.

At the present time he is getting more and more requests to play, both locally and further afield. Although Brewster enjoys performing, everything has to be fitted in around his schoolwork.
