Blackmoorfoot Reservoir circuit Route details:


* Leaving the car turn right on to a track, go through the gate and across
  the reservoir head. 

* At the road turn left onto the road, follow this until you reach the
  bridleway on your right (just before the road cross a bridge).

* Follow this Bridleway until you reach the next road (This bridleway is wet
  most of the time so stick to the higher paths on the right) From here you
  will be able to see Deerhill reservoir in the distance 

* At the road turn right towards the Wills 'O' Nats pub

* At the pub turn sharp left onto another bridleway. Follow this down to the
  next road.

* Cross the road and follow the road to Deerhill Reservoir. (This is a very
  long steady climb) at the top you are at the highest point on this ride) 

* Follow the road round the reservoir it will become a gravel track, pass the
  shooting lodge on your left. 

* There are no 2 stiles in quick succession, once past these follow the grass
  track alongside the water channel until you come to a track that cross the
  channel at a stone bridge. 

* Turn right and follow the track down the hill (This is a great downhill
  section). 

* Go through the next stile and follow the track down to the road.

* Turn right on to the road and follow this until you reach the White House
  Pub.

* Just after the pub take a rough track to your left down the hill to the next
  road. (This is very rocky)

* At the bottom cross the road and start the long climb back up.

* At the top turn right on to a bridleway, and follow this until you reach the
  Wills 'O' Nats pub. 

* Turn left onto the to road, and down the hill. 

* Turn right and then left back onto the reservoir head.

* Turn Left onto the road and back to the car.

* You can finish hear if you wish.

* Or you can continue along the road.

* Turn right at the junction.

* At the crossroads go straight on.

* As you travel down the hill there is a left turn which takes you through a
  farm and on to a bridleway.

* Follow the bridleway round the farm to your right and past the Airfield and
  quarry workings.

* At the road turn right

* As you go down the hill take the left hand turn on to another bridleway.

* Follow the bridleway through the farm and down to the road. 

* Turn left along the road and then left through some large rocks  on to a
  rocky, sandy track in to the quarry.

* Follow the track right through a fence/large boulder and around the quarry
  to the road.

* Turn left on the road and right back onto the bridleway that you came
  down earlier.

* Pass the Quarry workings and Airfield and at the farm turn right up the
  track to the road. 

* At the road turn right and then left.

* Follow the road down the hill.

* Halfway down the hill take the track to your left which will return you to
  the road where the car is parked.
