8th August 2007

well I've been really busy as you will see from the pictures below. where to start

well the dash is almost there just waiting for the gauges to be ready for collect from my supplier. as you can see I've colour coded a lot of the interior and the doors and the the rear quarter panels will also follow the same lines.

most of the electrics are now working, until the gauges are fitted I cant continue with the inspection, but I can say that most of the systems are now run via relays to try and stop voltage spikes and a new fuse box will also be fitted as ive increased a lot of the wiring to heavier cable and with the addition of the nitrous and the competition fuel pump and the extra lighting I didn't want to end up with an electrical fire

all the welding is now finished including all those little bits and pieces you forget and say you will do

as you can also see soon from the pictures ive painted the whole of the underneath of the car in a satin black paint  which has a rust proofing and prevention preservative built in. ive also seam sealed every join and weld. Under this is a rubberized coating  which again is also a sealant and also has an anti rust agent mixed into the paint and under that is a special anti rust and high primer.

so if any stones or water residue does attack the under side ive protected it as much as I can , the same satin black  and rubberized coating  and the sealant and the anti rust primer will be used inside the car along with wax oil injected into every air gap I can find or think of

ive also fitted the fuel lines and the air induction system and the radiator, im now running the engine up  and dumping the cooling liquid every few days in an effort to clean out the cooling system before I inject a ceramic sealer that stays inactive in the system until needed as a precaution and an organic antifreeze with summer coolant which will not corrode the cooling system and ive found also lowers the overall temp of an engine buy up to 10 degrees

1st September

well its the day before my birthday and I want to try and relax a bit tomorrow so I've worked hard today and got the whole car in paint

all I need to do now is flat every panel down with a very fine wet and dry sand paper and then put the final coat of paint on the car

15th September

well the paints been flatted back and the top coat applied last weekend

so this week I moved into high gear and spent 11 hours solid fitting all those little bits you leave and or have to refit once you've finished spraying a car

so here's a list of what ive done

refitted the headlamps, refitted the indicators, refitted the spot lights, fitted a fuel regulator, cable tied all the wiring in the engine bay away neatly, flushed the cooling system, ceramic sealed the cooling system, fitted the dash panels, fitted the gauges, finished the wiring under the dash, fitted the drivers side cooling vent, fitted heater control panel, fitted the rear parcel shelf, fitted the rear seats, fitted front seats, fitted rear indicators, fitted prop shaft, fitted exhaust, washed car down

Heres the latest pic's
