Founded in 1987, Great
Bentley Running Club is a B.A.F./ U.K. Athletics affiliated running club.
The club aims to provide a friendly, sociable and safe
environment thereby encouraging all its members to participate in running activities. The
club welcomes runners of all ages, standards and backgrounds both competitive and
non-competitive.
The club meets every Wednesday evening at Great Bentley
Village Hall at 7 for 7.15p.m. There are a number of routes of various distances in the
vicinity. The club has a program of organised runs of various distances and speeds to suit
all abilities as well as an optional summer handicap programme. The club has a B.A.F.
qualified coach for support and advice.
Furthermore the club often meets on Monday nights at
Hastings Road for a social run and there are regular club runs on Sundays when the
weekends are quiet from local events.
The club takes part in the winter 'McNeils Intersport'
Cross-Country League. Club members also actively participate in a number of road and trail
races throughout the UK and Europe
Membership currently costs £10 for a single and £16 for
family membership per year and offer these benefits:-

levy at each B.A.F. affiliated event.
