Late March to Early May is the best time to visit, when various parts of the copse are carpeted with wild flowers such as Bluebells, Lesser Celandine and/or Wood Anemones.

Just one of the picturesque species in this very small, but precious fragment of a typical 'Bluebell Wood'.

Britain is the only place in the world that 'Bluebell woods' occur.

Wood Anemones are usually white, but pink or blue shades are known to occur sometimes, and there are pink flowered plants in Rowner Copse - see next page or - click here - to see a rather fuzzy pic from 1996.
