Chevron Type Numbers


THE quantity given for the production of each model is based on the chassis numbers allocated. In some cases damaged cars were rebuilt and given new chassis numbers, while in others customers were supplied with replacement chassis, or monocoques, with no new chassis number being allocated. New chassis numbers were also allocated in some instances when cars were updated, most notably when B16s were converted to B19s or B21s. The engines referred to are those originally supplied with the cars.
