Now i did this by accident and i thought i had a paper
weight but countless hours of searching and hitting my
computer and swearing i finally found out to do it now
we will need some things here:
1: A USB Data Cable: - (mobilefun.co.uk
- do very good data cables)
2: GX15 Upgrading Tool - (can be found Here)
3: Flash Files (Now i have one stored on my website which
is NON Vodafone
More can be found Here)
4: USB Drivers - (Make sure there are installed there
can be found Here)
STEP1: Install all USB drivers for your USB cable &
download a flash file.
STEP2: Take out the Battery and sim card if you got a
cable that charge's the phone up then you should be okay
its just the one i had that's all.
STEP3: Now plug your USB cable into your
GX15 and load up the GX15 upgrading tool.
STEP4: Select the flash file you have downloaded into
the GX15 upgrading tool it should start to flash your
phone don't worry if nothing comes on the screen of the
phone it never did for me after the flash is completed
put your battery in and your sim card and try turning
your phone on it should work fine.
If the above don't work you could always try this method:
STEP1: Remove Sim card but leave battery in.
STEP2: You must activate test mode. Press (at the same
time and about 5 seconds until white display is shown)
0, 3, top right and power on keys.
STEP3: Next press 0, 1, 2, 3 and top right keys, in sequence.
The Diagnosis menu should be displayed.
Enter 99 and press the top right key. A message should
be displayed saying "Input Mode No":
Next press 1 and top right key to EEPROM format. The following
messages should appear (wait about 2 minutes):
· EE_ FORMAT START
· EE_ FORMAT OK
· EE _INIT(1) START
· EE _INIT(1) OK
· BBSRAM CLEAR END
· FINISHED
· PLEASE ANY KEY
Wait until all the above messages are displayed and then
press the top right key.
Press the M key (very important). Message should display
"Diag Param Saving".
Press red key to power down the phone. Remove and put
the battery.
(PLEASE NOTE NOT ALL GX15
WORKS WITH THIS METHOD!)
