How we met
Wedding day timetable
We
are both committed Christians and each of us has access to the Internet
so ... you've guessed it! We met on a Christian singles web-site called
ukcmp.org.uk.
We
began e-mailing each other in July last year, then after a few phone calls
we met up in Sheffield on August 7th.
On
our first date (since we know you're dying to ask) we met up at Sheffield
railway station - no surprises there! We had an Italian meal and went
to see Buena Vista Social Club at Sheffield's independent cinema, The
Showroom.
We
carried on seeing each other regularly and discussed marriage towards
the end of the year. Richard formally proposed to Ann at a Christmas Ball
on December 22nd.
The proposal took place on this imposing staircase at the Cutlers Hall, Sheffield. In fact since we got engaged, another couple we know who met in the same way (and via the same site) have also announced their engagement.
