Cole Brothers (John Lewis) Wedding List No 1901
A wedding list has been set up at Cole Brothers, the John Lewis branch in Sheffield. Ann is a big fan of John Lewis, and even gets excited when she visits a Waitrose store (they don't have them in Yorkshire).
The
Richard Day seal of approval has been granted to a brand new range of
cutlery called Stanton. Apparently the name Stanton is associated not
only with a steel works, but also with a railway junction. Could this
be the reason for our friend's choice of eating implements?
We would particularly welcome any of the Stanton items on the list, no
matter how small. A full set of matching cutlery will enhance dinner parties
no end!
Ann has selected a variety of linens and towels. She has also chosen several electrical and kitchenware products, including a rice cooker to remind her of the days she spent in Japan.
Any of these articles, especially items of bed linen, would be appreciated.
There is a special prize for anyone who spots the items on the John Lewis list that are required for steam train trips!

Although we love many of the quality products available from John Lewis, it has to be said that their Wedding List system is rather antiquated. (Wake up John Lewis Partnership - it's the 21st century!)

If you live in Sheffield you can call in at the Brides Book department on the top floor of Cole Brothers to view the list.

from other areas
If you live outside Sheffield, you need to contact Cole Brothers Brides Book as this is the only branch of John Lewis that holds a copy of the list.
The telephone number is (0114) 279 7196. You will probably be put through to an answerphone, so leave a message asking for details of list 1901. Cole Brothers will call you back the same day with the information. Bear in mind that the branch is shut on Sundays & Mondays and Wednesday evening is late night opening (until 8pm).
There are two ways of purchasing items.
 You
can buy products over the telephone using a credit or debit card.
An advantage of this is that the gift will be delivered directly to
us at our Sheffield address. |
 Alternatively,
you can browse in your local John Lewis store and purchase items there.
However, please remember to inform the Brides Book department in that
branch so that they can pass the information on to Cole Brothers in
Sheffield. |
