Clevedon

There are several marks to fish at Clevedon, the most obvious being the Pier. I have fished the pier once and caught a poor cod!... More detailed information can be found on Dave Huxley's site. For the last three years he has organised an IAC Sea Angling Fish in. The tide is huge here, if you visit at low water often there is little or no water around the pier, and the supports seem to reach miles into the sky, but the tide will come most of the way up! The tide flows left to right on the way in and right to left on the way out. The run can be pretty fierce. Other fish I have seen caught here are Whiting and Pouting. There is a bait/tackle shop in Clevedon,(The Tackle Box, 01275 340180), but I have never used it. The best traces to use are ones that put the bait on the sea bed, 1 up 1 down uptide and flowing wishbone downtide.
