Six Nations - week 2
Wales were at home today for their game against Scotland, and after the terrible result last week they desperately needed a win.
Following a rousing rendition of Land of My Fathers from Katherine Jenkins, the team got off to a great start being awarded a penalty try within the first five minutes of the game. Scotland came back with a penalty a few minutes later, but then shortly afterwards Scott Murray was red-carded for retaliating against a late tackle from Ian Gough.
With just 14 left to finish the game, Scotland were always going to be on the back foot. Gareth Thomas scored two tries (his first for two years), and Robert Sidoli added another. However, Scotland weren't going to take it lying down, and with two tries at the end of the game they managed to make the score look a reasonably respectable 28-18 to Wales.
There's no rugby next week, but the following week Wales are playing Ireland at Lansdowne Road... that'll be a tough one, I think!

Chopper Rescue!
I'm not entirely sure what happened, but I found out tonight that my mate Rob had to be airlifted off a mountain whilst on a skiing holiday! Apparently he's okay, although I gather he's not supposed to do anything too strenuous for the next few weeks or so!
This could obviously be a very boring time for him... however, I've found this little game that'll help while away the hours, whilst recreating all the excitement of his holiday! Enjoy Chopper Rescue!

The Six Nations 2006
This weekend saw the start of the Six nations rugby tournament. I was hoping for a similar result to last year, when Wales won every single game, but sadly that's not going to happen this year...
Well and truly beaten by England I think we'll struggle in the rest of the tournament. Having seen the performance Scotland put in against France I think Wales could be in for a very tough game next weekend, although at least they'll have the benefit of playing at home in the Millennium Stadium. Fingers crossed!
