I've got double vision!!!

I've been experimenting with my PC - I found an old PCI graphics card today, so I've just stuck in my PC alongside my AGP card, plugged a monitor in to it and this is what I ended up with... 8-)

   

I've got my email program running on the right hand screen (the slave) and everything else on the left hand one!! Groovy, eh??!!

RIP - John Charles.

John Charles, ex-Wales & Leeds footballer, died earlier today aged 72.

Widely acclaimed as the greatest footballer Wales has ever produced, the "Gentle Giant" collapsed in Milan on 7th January of a heart attack. His right foot was amputated earlier this month due to circulation problems, and he had also been suffering from Alzheimer's and heart problems.

Never booked or sent off in his career, he played for Wales 38 times scoring 15 goals for his country, and took part in the 1958 World Cup, the last time Wales qualified for the tournament.

He also scored 42 league goals in one season, a record which still stands today.

On the job!

I got a new job today!

I'm currently Team Leader of the Sales Team at work, but a vacancy came up in the Purchasing Department. In a meeting with my boss the other day, she asked if I'd thought about going for it so I said I was considering it... I spoke to the Purchasing Manager on Friday regarding the vacancy, and he offered me the job this morning!

An ex-employee is coming in to take over my current role on March 8th, so once she's up to speed, I'm on the move (albeit about 10 feet away from where I am at the moment!) Incidentally, the two other blokes in the Purchasing Department are David's too, so that should be fun...!!!

The Six Nations kicks off!

I had a weird conversation today with a six year old. I'd gone round a mate's house to fix his computer, and when we'd finished we settled down to watch the rugby on the TV. His daughter struck up a conversation with me, which went something like this:

          "What are you watching on the telly?"

          "Rugby - it's Wales versus Scotland."

          "Where are they?"

          "Who?"

          "The Whales?"

The Spare Room!

Hello All!

Our lodger will shortly be moving out, so my computer and various other bits & pieces will soon be moving into the spare room (I'm not going into details here but if you really want to know, send me an email and I'll think about telling you...!), so I've been trying to decide what colour to decorate the room.

The waiting is finally over... After much deliberation (and thanks to those of you on the PC Format Forum who helped with the vote!), I've decided for "Cloudless" in the Wilkinson's paint range. Here's a rough approximation of what it'll look like (thanks to the Dulux website):

All I've got to do now is get the paint, and slap it on the walls! Once I'm in there and it's decorated I'll post a picture so you can compare the mock-up above to the real thing!
