A Walk in the Park

I've mentioned this before, but we won a six month pass for Compton Acres earlier in the year. It runs out on Tuesday, so as today was the last time we could realistically use it, Linda & I went and had a wander round.

They've also had a scheme on where you're given a sticker for every five pounds you spend. If you collect enough, you can get a free winter pass for either one or two people, or at least get a discount of you don't quite collect the required amount.

As you can see, the card has a five pound token already to get you started, and up to today's visit we had three additional tokens, so we could either get a Single Pass for another £10, or a double pass for another £40. However, today we bought a few bits and pieces totalling £15, so we got another three tokens. Because we had them stuck to another card we now have two cards both with £20 worth of vouchers, meaning we can get two single passes for just £20. If we'd had today's stickers stuck to the original card, we'd have had to pay £25 for the double pass for the winter, so we've managed to save a fiver - Bargain!!

Poorly 'puter

UPDATE - It's working fine now!!! Hooray!!!

My computer's not very well! I was using it Tuesday evening and it shut down properly, but when I turned it on again later that night it wouldn't work! I finally managed to get into Windows using Program Manager (memories of Windows 3.1!), and now I'm (hopefully) almost there with fixing it!!

If I don't make any more posts for a while, you know why!!!!
