Dave joined hardware in the middle of the year 2000, having previously
been working with Hardware's drummer Gavin Smith
in a band called DeadLarge. Dave and Gavin worked together back in the
late eighties in a band called Vagrant, playing in London and St.Albans.
They have collaborated on many projects over the last 14 years. Together
they make a powerhouse of a rhythm section. Specializing in the styles
of Led Zeppelin, Van Halen and Deep Purple, they add an aggressive punch
to any band they back.
Dave Warminger’s career spans several decades including albums with
Valhalla and ‘Top of the Pops’ appearances with Keith Marshall. Dave even
managed to end up playing bass on ‘Cheggers Plays Pop’.
Dave plays a Fender Precission Elite with EMG pickups through a Hartke model 2000 power amp and modified Marshall speaker cabs.
