Club Runs 2004

The following are some of the run outs we have had during 2004

both the Bank Holiday Monday runs and the general Sunday runs

  Bank Holiday Run Out

Margate

Monday 31st May

Our regular bank holiday run went to Margate, along the beautiful north Kent coast

rather than using all the motorways the route took us across country, using roads of course, and only using a small bit of the M25, the Dartford crossing bit, and the a2.

the trip took about 4 hours

with a stop at  Thurrock services in the middle

The journey down was not the best, it was  mistake taking the A2, it was busy, littered with speed cameras and we went through every town and village on the way with 30 limits and red traffic lights.

Margate was not much better, it was a sorry remnant of its once great seaside heritage, boarded up shops and a general run down feeling pervaded the whole place.

generally not one of our better runs.

May Day Run Out

Ace Café Battle of Hastings Run

8 bikes braved the early start to ride down to Hastings, seeing the amount of bikes along the A21 and in Hastings we may have to leave even earlier next year.

A good day was had by all, except the Dartford Crossing Gate Control Man, who lost his drop down barrier to the front of Phil's bike.

Easter Monday Run Out

Ace Café Southend Shakedown

A great time was had by all the riders and pillions of the 17 bikes that turned out for this run to meet up with the thousands, some said 35 to 40 thousand, bikes at Southend.
