The film prepared by Breakfast reporter Graham Satchell was broadcast twice, each time followed by a live interview.
The first interview contributor was David Hickson, a campaigner against misuse of revenue sharing telephone numbers by public bodies. David’s primary campaign focus is the NHS. He has resources in support of this on the NHS.Patient Web Page.
The second interview contributor was Ceri Stanaway of Which? Ceri is a Telecoms expert for the research department of Which? Shortly after this broadcast the results of her work were seen in a news item and a guide that are publicly available on the Which? website

Mhairi Stuart interviews Bill Fraser about use of 0845 telephone numbers by Police forces in Scotland.
Bill is a member of the SayNoto0870 campaign and a Glasgow based community activist who campaigns against unreasonable behaviour by Scottish local & national government bodies.
Members of the Saynoto0870 campaign, which also covers misuse of other revenue sharing numbers and comments on use of 03, exchange views and ideas and comment on developments and coverage in an open discussion forum. .
Campaigners are urging public bodies to follow the example of some English Police forces, by adopting 03 numbers. |
