Presentation Event 2008

This year the Society decided on a change of venue and event presentation using the assets the club already own. The committee choose the club lake to combine a Members Only Match with the presentation of trophy winners for matches held during the 2007/8 season. Even though the weather was not on our side the Members Only Match was well attended by 22 club members. Although the total weights caught were nothing to write home about. We did see some fine specimen tench landed, with a record tench caught in a competition by L. Goodson of 8lb.

During the match anglers were offered a fine al la carte menu of burgers or bangers in a bun, delivered by hand to the peg they were fishing. What luxury....

The presentation took place after the match where members were able to sit down and relax under the comfort of a dry marquee.
