All dressed up in our Whit-Sunday best, c1955, Elaine, Linda, Desley and myself.  Whit Week was a time when we used to get a 'tanner' shoved in the top pocket of our new suit from relatives we wouldn't usually visit - other than Whit Sunday. And I can well recall sitting down at the end of my Whit Sunday visit's and counting how much money I'd been given.   Our Roy, of course, was an expert at visiting people on Whit Sunday, and he always came home at the end of the day with far more money than the rest of us put together.
