Concert Recording

We can capture the energy of your concert with minimal intrusion, but still giving excellent results.

If you book us to record your concert, we will take care to set up microphones in optimal positions, taking into consideration the performers, audience, and the acoustics of the venue.

A variety of editing, post-production and mastering processes will take place at your convenience after the concert.

On the most basic level, editing consists of putting in CD track markers at the beginning of each piece and movement, removal of long silences and the fading of applause as appropriate. However, no performance is perfect, so we also record the rehearsal. Provided a better version of the material can be extracted from the rehearsal, serious mishaps can be edited and blended in precisely.

We will evaluate the sound of the recording and enhance or compensate for the sound of the room. This should ensure that your concert recording sounds as beautiful as possible.

The CDs are mastered to red book standard. This can be taken by you as is, or we can supply artwork and duplication services as you require. We have links with professional graphic designers, or a functional, attractive cover can be produced in house.

Multiple CD packages

School, youth and amateur large ensembles may opt for a multiple CD package. With a minimum order of 30 copies, you can choose the number of CDs you would like to receive after the recording is made. There is no fixed charge for making the recording, this is included in the cost of each CD. The prices are indicated below.

Recordings are often wanted by ensemble members and/or relatives, rather than for promotional use. and this pakage exists to cater for this common requirement. Many customers may wish to sell on the copies to interested parties to make a profit for the organisation.

If more than 70 copies of the CD are required, then surplus copies are priced at £4 each. So if 100 CDs were ordered, the first 70 would cost £7 each and the final 30 would cost £4, giving a grand total of £610.

Please note that you don't have to choose a specific amount at the time of ordering, just that the minimum order is 30 CDs. It is perfectly reasonable to make a booking and then increase the order at a later date.
