Welcome to Fell Cottage, located on the edge of the tranquil village of Lindale.
Lindale itself is situated on the southern boundary of the Lake District National park, approximately one mile from the elegant Edwardian resort of Grange-over-Sands.
Lindale has 2 pubs, a post-office / general store and a children’s playground. The little stream through the village cascades down a series of road-side waterfalls, eventually emerging on the edge of the children’s playground. There are lovely walks straight from the cottage.
Hampsfell, above Grange, looks down on the historic village of Cartmel with its ancient priory and there are wonderful views across the Kent Estuary and Morecambe Bay to Blackpool Tower. On a fine day the spectacular Lake District Fells are laid out before you and there are fabulous views of the picturesque Howgills and the Yorkshire Penines including Pen Y Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough; you may even be able to see the Welsh Hills, the Isle of Man and the hills of Galloway in south-western Scotland.
Bookings can be made by contacting us directly, or by using the on-line availability and booking system; click on the <book online> button to the left of the screen.
Please note that we do not employ third-party agents or others to manage or clean the cottage; we personally clean and check the cottage prior to every letting. If you have any problems during your stay we will endeavour to resolve them as soon as possible. Likewise, we will post the keys to you before you go so you don’t have to collect them from anywhere.
If you have any questions at all, please contact us.
