Situated
in the peaceful and welcoming village of Lindale our cottage is the perfect
place to rest and unwind or, for the more adventurous, as the perfect base
for exploring the grandeur of the Lake District, summer and winter. Lindale is situated on the southern edge of the Lake District National Park, only a few minutes drive from the M6 motorway. |

The
Lindale Inn is a few short steps from the cottage for those who wish to eat
out and there are numerous other local pubs that provide excellent food. For
those who wish to eat in, the combined kitchen/dining room has all that you
need with an electric hob and built in oven, microwave oven, dish washer,
large fridge-freezer and washing machine. |

Other
facilities include full central heating throughout and bath with electric
shower. Bedrooms
consist of one double bedroom, one twin room and one single. A child’s cot is
also available. All
bedding and towels are provided. The
cottage also has a locking garage that will accommodate an average sized
family car. All power
and light are included in the rental. There
is a wood burning stove in the lounge to provide cosy, glowing warmth on
cooler evenings. Wood, coal and firelighters are provided. |

Grange
over Sands is 1 mile away and has a railway station with bus links to
Lindale, cafes and walks around the formal gardens with views across
Morecambe Bay. The
town has many shops to supply most needs including a Co-Op Late Shop, a Spar
and two pharmacies. There
are three banks with cash machines plus a cash machine at the Co-Op. |

The
historic market town of Kendal is a short drive away and there are many
places to visit close at hand such as the magnificent Priory at Cartmel,
Haverthwaite Steam Railway and Holker Hall to name but a few. Brochures
detailing these attractions are available in the cottage. There
are many fine low level walks from Lindale itself, the best being a visit to
Hampsfell where a small stone shelter ('The Hospice') gives wonderful views
in all directions towards the main Lake District hills, the Isle of Man and
on a fine day one may be lucky enough to see the Welsh mountains and the
Southern Uplands of Scotland. For
