Situated in the peaceful and welcoming village of Lindale our cottage is the perfect place to rest and unwind or, for the more adventurous, as the perfect base for exploring the grandeur of the Lake District, summer and winter.

Lindale is situated on the southern edge of the Lake District National Park, only a few minutes drive from the M6 motorway.

The Lindale Inn is a few short steps from the cottage for those who wish to eat out and there are numerous other local pubs that provide excellent food.

For those who wish to eat in, the combined kitchen/dining room has all that you need with an electric hob and built in oven, microwave oven, dish washer, large fridge-freezer and washing machine.

Other facilities include full central heating throughout and bath with electric shower.

Bedrooms consist of one double bedroom, one twin room and one single. A child’s cot is also available.

All bedding and towels are provided.

The cottage also has a locking garage that will accommodate an average sized family car.

All power and light are included in the rental.

There is a wood burning stove in the lounge to provide cosy, glowing warmth on cooler evenings.

Wood, coal and firelighters are provided.

Grange over Sands is 1 mile away and has a railway station with bus links to Lindale, cafes and walks around the formal gardens with views across Morecambe Bay.

The town has many shops to supply most needs including a Co-Op Late Shop, a Spar and two pharmacies.

There are three banks with cash machines plus a cash machine at the Co-Op.

The historic market town of Kendal is a short drive away and there are many places to visit close at hand such as the magnificent Priory at Cartmel, Haverthwaite Steam Railway and Holker Hall to name but a few. Brochures detailing these attractions are available in the cottage.

There are many fine low level walks from Lindale itself, the best being a visit to Hampsfell where a small stone shelter ('The Hospice') gives wonderful views in all directions towards the main Lake District hills, the Isle of Man and on a fine day one may be lucky enough to see the Welsh mountains and the Southern Uplands of Scotland.
