I'M DAVID WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE
We live in
the small Lancashire town of Great
Harwood, not a million miles away from Blackburn and quite close
to Accrington and Burnley.
Pendle Hill, famous for its walks and witches is
on our doorstep and the Ribble Valley just beyond.
Our family is made up of me, a part-time milkman and full-time layabout,my hobbies include genealogy, computers and mountain biking
Judith is my " wife " she seems to spend all her time looking after Charlie and Edward her two horses.
Last but not least is Thomas our son, who loves anything to do with animals, farms and especially TRACTORS.
Ironically our house is just across the road from the cemetery where as I found when doing my family history quite a few of our relatives are buried, but that's another story.
THE MAIN AIM OF THIS WEBSITE IS TO ATTRACT VISITORS TO VIEW OUR FAMILY TREE AND MAYBE FIND SOME LONG LOST RELATIVES.

At the present time most of Thomas's known Pollard relatives live in Great Harwood,
but this hasn't always been the case. His great, great grandfather, Robert was born in Blackburn in 1867.
He came to Great Harwood with his mother Alice ( Grundy ) and George his father around 1879.
George was born in 1826 in the parish of Whalley, Lancashire which also includes Billington, Wiswell,
and Barrow Bridge, now just known as Barrow.....Map
About the same time George left Whalley others in the Pollard family spread out
to the Rochdale, West Houghton and Morecambe areas.
If your ever
in Great Harwood call and say hello I'm always available for any beer tasting that needs to be done, any of the real ale pubs will do
