About Me
My name is Sue Polhill and I
am based in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, UK, though I am close to the Bedfordshire border. I have
been making celebration cakes since 1987. I do all the work myself and can therefore
maintain the quality of your order from consultation to completion.
A great deal of
attention is paid to all of my designs, so that any special occasion can be celebrated
with a wonderful cake.
I specialise in floral
bouquets made from sugar.
I provide a
professional and highly individual service to obtain the distinctive cake that is special
for you. All of my cakes are made with high quality ingredients and hand made decorations.
In the
gallery links above to see a large selection of cakes I have made for brides and other
customers .
I am registered with
the Local Authoritys Health & Environmental Services and I am regularly visited
by them to check my compliance with the 1990 Food Safety Act, Food Safety (General Food
Hygiene) Regulations 1995, and (Temperature Control) Regulations 1995.
I hold food-handling certificates necessary for such work.
Over the years
several wedding magazines have featured my work and I have had a feature in the
"The Sunday Times".
A further surprise was being asked to appear on BBC Radio Cambridge
to talk
about wedding cakes. It was nerve racking but fun!
Thank you to
everyone who visits my website, I hope you find it useful.
